Tips to Get Around Victoria Courtesy of Tourism Victoria
Tourism Victoria is pleased to share tips how RVM participants can travel to Victoria without a vehicle. Vancouver Island residents can enjoy regularly scheduled Greyhound service and Via Rail's service. Runners arriving via BC Ferries can travel from the Swartz Bay terminal either by Pacific Coach Lines or Victoria Regional Transit. Harbour to harbour flights from Seattle and Vancouver are available by float plane or helicopter. Finally, visitors arriving at the Victoria International Airport can travel downtown via Victoria Regional Transit, in one of Victoria's hybrid taxis or airport shuttle. Tips on how to get around Victoria without a car will appear in an upcoming RVM newsletter.

This year the Royal Victoria Marathon will celebrate 30 years of personal bests, first time finishes and the joys of reaching dreams and goals. What will this year's race hold for you?
What goals will you be setting for this year's race weekend. Perhaps this is the year that you step up to the marathon. Maybe it is time to qualify for the Boston Marathon now that you have moved up to a new age group. It could be that you will be running with a friend who is just starting their journey as a runner.
Regardless of your ambition, you can rest assured that we will be there every step of the way as you prepare for the 30th Royal Victoria Marathon. We have marathon and half marathon programs for beginner through veteran runners. On-line coaching is also available from two-time Olympic marathoner, Bruce Deacon.
